JK Moving Services is committed to ensuring its Loudoun County home continues to be a healthy place to live and work. In partnership with Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, JK has undertaken a project to protect the Stumptown Woods area of northern Loudoun County, home to more native species of indigenous plant and wildlife than is typical.
The Stumptown Woods property was placed into a conservation easement, and future plans for the property include:
- Holding the property in its natural state and conducting occasional field trips and citizen science monitoring.
- Creating a set of walking trails for restricted and guided public access.
- Developing the property as the first of several wildlife sanctuaries of significant habitats preserved across Loudoun County.
