Building a sustainable future: Highlights from our 2024 CSR Report

JK & CapRelo teams at the Farm

We’re proud to announce the release of our 2024 Annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report – a comprehensive look at how JK Moving Services, CapRelo, and JK Land Holdings are creating measurable impact across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities.

This year’s report captures not only our continued commitment to sustainability, belonging and inclusion, and ethical business practices, but also the people-powered momentum behind every milestone. From reducing our carbon footprint to deepening community partnerships, our progress reflects a shared purpose: building a better, more resilient future for everyone.

Key highlights from the report

Carbon accounting and climate leadership

In 2024, we completed our first full enterprise-wide carbon accounting initiative in partnership with Planet Mark. This baseline measurement, 5,252.6 tCO₂e, spans Scopes 1, 2, and 3 and lays the foundation for our net-zero roadmap. Notably, 91% of our emissions are Scope 3, reflecting supply chain and commuting activities, which we’re actively working to reduce.

CDP Recognition and FIDI Certification

We earned a SME-B rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the highest possible for first-time small-to-medium enterprise submitters. Also, we exceeded new sustainability criteria in our FIDI/FAIM audit, a gold standard in the relocation industry.

Conservation and food access

Through JK Land Holdings, the enterprise maintains a 44:1 conservation-to-development ratio, protecting over 44 acres of land for every acre developed commercially. Meanwhile, the JK Community Farm donated an additional 256,000 pounds of organic produce this year, pushing its total impact past 1.2 million pounds since 2018.

Belonging, inclusion, and supplier diversity

Enterprise teamFrom employee-led book clubs to quarterly belonging and inclusion training and developing Employee Resource Groups, we continue to foster a culture where every team member is heard and valued. In 2024, we worked with over 400 diverse suppliers, directing 44% of third-party spend to small, minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses.

Cybersecurity, safety, and resilience

We doubled down on system reliability and data privacy by strengthening our ISO 27001–aligned cybersecurity framework and upgrading critical infrastructure. Our safety culture also continues to thrive, with programs like our 90-Day Injury-Free recognition and new tech to help eliminate distracted driving.

Why this matters to the enterprise

CSR isn’t just a set of initiatives, it’s an operational imperative. As a service-driven enterprise that touches lives through mobility, real estate, and community development, we understand that our long-term success is deeply tied to our environmental footprint, inclusive culture, and ethical standards.

This report is more than a list of accomplishments. It’s a testament to the power of aligning strategy with values. From reducing emissions and enhancing transparency to investing in employee wellness and local communities, our CSR work strengthens brand trust, operational resilience, and stakeholder relationships.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to data-driven impact, continuous improvement, and collaborative progress. Whether you’re a client, employee, or partner, we invite you to explore the full report and join us on this journey toward a more sustainable future.
