“Be ready to grow with an industry that never stops evolving.” That mindset has guided Zuly Cainicela, Director of Global Accounts, through more than a decade in JK’s International team, where she helps global customers move their lives and careers with care and confidence. Zuly has been with the company a little over 10 years, and she still loves how much there is to learn every day.
From a new industry to a global career
Zuly didn’t set out to work in mobility; she actually started in a law firm. “I didn’t even know this industry existed,” she says. A temp assignment at JK’s sister company, CapRelo, opened the door, and about a year later, meeting Phil Wells and Jackie Stouffer led her to join JK’s International team. “It’s been a learning roller coaster ever since, and I’ve enjoyed every step.”
What Zuly loves most about JK
The constant growth. International moving changes quickly, and Zuly thrives on the pace and partnership – working across time zones, cultures, and compliance to keep customers supported end to end. “Stay curious, keep learning, and be open to adapting,” she advises anyone new to the field. “You’ll be surprised by how much you can grow professionally and personally.”
Zuly’s proudest achievement
For Zuly, her proudest achievement is raising her daughter, Shienka, a junior at Carnegie Mellon University. As an immigrant to the US without nearby family (her relatives live in Peru), navigating the school system on her own was a challenge – one that makes her daughter’s success especially meaningful.
Life outside of work
Zuly is big on experiences and movement, so traveling is a favorite pastime (she aims for at least one trip a year with her daughter). She also enjoys photography and lately, cycling: “It’s definitely not easy, but I’m getting there!”
Fun fact: She’s a systems engineer by training… who’s never actually worked as one.
