New Service Expands Commercial Capabilities

Sterling, VA—December 17, 2013—JK Moving Services, a full-service moving company founded in 1981 and specializing in commercial, residential, and international moving and storage, today announced the addition of its new Certified PC Tech Services for commercial customers.

As part of standard commercial moving services, JK expertly relocates IT equipment to a client’s new office space or property. To further enhance its services, JK partnered with the Northern Virginia Community College Workforce Development program to develop a custom curriculum.

The proprietary coursework included aspects of A+ hardware certification, PC disconnect and reconnect operations, connection of adjacent peripherals, and network connection protocols. The first group of ten employees successfully graduated the five-week course, earning a professional PC Tech Certification.

“JK is committed to investing in its employees and their training to deliver a high-quality move experience for our customers. Creating this rigorous course was a natural expansion of our core commercial services,” said JK Moving Services’ Founder, CEO, and President, Charles Kuhn.

During a commercial move, a company’s IT staff is typically overburdened with tasks, from routing phone lines to workstation set-up and ensuring data security. JK’s Certified PC Techs ease that burden by expertly managing the desktop equipment and other peripherals, thereby enabling the IT department to focus on the network and server aspects of relocation.

For over 30 years, JK Moving Services has provided local, long distance, and international relocation services to a variety of commercial, residential, and government clients. Headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, the company maintains a full-time, professionally trained staff of relocation and move management experts committed to providing the highest level of customer care.
