Proceeds benefit hospital programs and scholarship fund

Gaithersburg, MD – July 30, 2009 – JK Moving & Storage, Inc. turned out in a big way to assist the Montgomery General Hospital Women’s Board with their 89th annual Picnic and Bazaar on July 28, 2009.  A large JK truck served as an onsite collection center for donations, and transported items for sale back and forth to tents and storage facilities.

This annual event raises funds to benefit the hospital and the Women’s Board Scholarship Fund.  Last year's event helped award a total of 58 scholarships to area high school students, hospital employees, and others for their studies.

JK Donates Truck for Montgomery Hospital Picnic & Bazaar

More than 1,500 community volunteers turn out each year to serve up traditional picnic fare, organize activities, and set up tents selling everything from books to sweet treats.
