Washington Nationals entrust local mover with homeplate as they move to new stadium on South Capitol Street. February 25, 2008 - Washington, D.C. – When the Washington Nationals make their historic move this spring from RFK Stadium into their new ballpark on South Capitol Street, they will entrust everything from their portable batting cage to manager Manny’s Acta’s prized desk to a veritable Washington institution. That responsibility will fall upon the broad shoulders of Sterling, VA-based JK Moving & Storage, designated this week as “the Official Moving Company of the Washington Nationals.” “JK Moving is a true Washington, D.C. success story with a tradition and legacy dating back 29 years,” said Nationals Vice President of Marketing Tom Ward. “As we begin to create our own tradition, it only makes sense that we partner alongside a company such as JK, with such a profound sense of history and accomplishment. “We’re looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership.” “No problem,” says Kuhn. “After all, we’ve already had our training camp.” Earlier this year, JK shipped the team’s gear from D.C. to Florida in plenty of time for spring training. # # # |
