SCOPE: System furniture installers needed to deconstruct, install, and exercise space planning activities within office & industrial environments. Installer may work independently or as part of a team assigned to provide moving, storage, and relocation services to businesses and independent customers. QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience. • Must have electrical experience to supply and disconnect power to module furniture. • Must be able to read and develop floor plans. • Installation and delivery experience. • Furniture assembly and modification skills. • Ability to see jobs through to completion in a professional and time efficient manner without supervision. • Good communication skills & dedication to excellent customer service. • Reliable transportation to and from work. • Space planning ability. • Capacity to work well with others. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to clients, crews, and employees of organizations we support. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. EQUIPMENT: • Herman Miller; Steel Case; Knoll; HON; Trendway; Teknion • Own Tools: Hand tools – drills, etc. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation, of high-quality modular office furniture systems. • Provide a high level of customer service to ensure satisfactory customer experience. • Reviews floor plans and exercises space planning. • Completes furniture assembly/installation as per installation specifications to meet customer satisfaction. • Inspects furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer’s guidelines. • Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems to include placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touch-up of metal and wood furniture. • May unload or load furniture into trucks. • Follows all safety procedures in the performance to job duties. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. |
