Scope: Targets residential sales market to achieve revenue goals established by the Manager, Residential Sales. Performs as an agent for the Company, representing the first point of contact for selling moving and storage services to residential property owners. Supports and implements the policies and procedures of JK Moving & Storage, Inc. Assures compliance with all applicable Federal and State Laws. Qualifications: High-energy professional who is proactive, self-motivated, and a forward thinker. Must possess highly strategic sales initiative skills to sell moving and storage services in a local area market. The qualified candidate will have 2 -5 years in a quota driven sales position, and must have excellent prospecting and new business development skills. Must be able to succeed in a competitive environment. Must possess a solid work ethic. As an Outside Sales Representative, candidate must implement a top-down sales approach to work effectively with operations, customer services, and target market. Must demonstrate an ability to convert prospects into clients. (The target market consists of residential homeowners). Experience as a Sales Representative (or equivalent) with proven proficiency in developing strategic sales plan continually achieving or exceeding assigned quotas. Proven ability to assist management in assessing market competition requirements. PC literacy is a requirement. Generic Skills: Good prospecting, presentation, and conceptual selling skills with the ability to achieve quota. Displays maturity, competitiveness and good work ethic. Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs accurate on-site moving surveys and estimates for individuals planning to move locally, intrastate or interstate. Follows pricing guidelines as established by JK Moving & Storage. • Networks and markets company services within the target markets. Prospects, establishes and maintains relationships with customers. Creates opportunities for future business. • Achieves quarterly performance standards. • Completes sales paperwork in an accurate and timely manner - documents all estimates with any special packing and delivery instructions. Communicates all customer expectations to Move Coordinator and operations. • Performs follows-up on pending estimates and maintains information in designated system. • Maintains direct contact with customers to answer questions and resolve issues prior to, during and after the move. • Assists in the resolution of billing, claims, or collection issues. • Maintains, updates and fulfills calendar of appointments. Regularly monitors e-mail and voice mail for customer and company communications. • Attends all branch and corporate sales meetings, conferences, and training seminars as required. • Submits required sales and expense reports in an accurate and timely manner. • Develops new market ideas and assists in developing and implementing sales and/or marketing plans. • Maintains a minimum 4.0 average on customer survey responses. • Performs other duties, and tasks, as assigned. |
