Habitat for Humanity Family Successfully Moves In

Single parent family shows immense gratitude for move courtesy of local JK Moving and Storage.

December 18, 2006 - Frederick, MD—Habitat for Humanity partner, Lisa Wease, was touched when she learned that JK Moving & Storage had heard her story and volunteered to move her family into their new home on Saturday, December 9. Wease, mother of eight year old Ryleigh, has dedicated herself to working hard to ensure a clean, safe home for her family. She has spent every weekend for the past six months with Habitat for Humanity working to build a home of her own. Wease was thrilled when JK Moving volunteered to move her belongings on Saturday from her small apartment in Frederick, MD to her newly built, wide-yard home in Thurmont, MD. In her many previous moves, Wease had to make arrangements to borrow friends' smaller trucks to move their belongings. This time Wease's hard work afforded her the luxury of watching trained professionals move her into her new house.

"I can't believe how fast they can pack this all up," Wease said while the three JK movers loaded their truck. "I have so much stuff, I thought we would be for hours; this is so nice, and we are moving all in one trip. What a difference!"

Even with the difficulty of an oversized couch, JK Moving & Storage had Wease and daughter Ryleigh's boxes all safely in their new location in just three hours, waiting for the Wease family to arrive and make their new house a home.

"We are happy to be able to help Habitat for Humanity and Lisa as she moves into her new home for the holidays. I can't think of a better gift," said Chuck Kuhn, President & CEO of JK Moving & Storage.
